International Specialized Course In Sports Consultation and Treatment
After completion of this course, the student will be equipped with the necessary information and skills to compete as a qualified Sports Massage and Holistic Massage Therapist in a highly competitive fitness industry. Other than most courses offered in this field, we will equip you with hands-on practical techniques that will enable you to practice with confidence as a Sports Massage Specialist. You will be capable to assist people in all areas of the fitness industry and incorporate massage as part of a fitness maintenance program.
Students who have successfully completed this course will gain Associate Membership to our School and are allowed to use the following letters after their name: HHI (Sports Specialist)

Course outcome:
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
- Practice as a Massage Therapist
- Practice as a Sports Massage Therapist
- Have the skill to apply massage specific to the sports environment – pre-event and post-event sports massage
- Have the necessary knowledge pertaining to work ethics and professionalism when performing a sports massage treatment
- Have the necessary knowledge to specialize in different massage treatments
- Understand the structure and function of the human body, the inter-relation of the body systems within the human organism and develop an understanding of the principles of human anatomy and physiology

Although you should be able to complete this course in 12 months, open learning gives you the flexibility to study at your own pace within a 2-year period.
As part of this course you must attend 6 weeks of practical classes for each practical module (once a week) at the college.
